I’m not here to fit you into a mold or give you strict rules to live by. I’m here to figure out how to make your space work for you. If that means buying all new storage containers and organizing your stuff into them so all you ever have to see is neat-and-tidy bins, cool! If it means creating a system within chaos without ditching that chaos, great! There are no “shoulds” in this work; it’s all about what works for you.

I believe it’s possible to walk into your space and feel welcomed, clear, energized, light. Like you can take a full, deep breath. Like it makes sense. Like you belong there. Even if it’s just your kitchen cabinet!

Maybe you’ve got a complicated situation with a space that needs to serve multiple functions in your life. Maybe you’re in a new phase of life and looking for a change. Or maybe you just really want someone to take over and organize that dang closet or pantry once and for all.

common types of projects

  • You want to get rid of stuff but haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe it’s emotionally vexed, or maybe it’s just time consuming. For whatever reason, you want someone to come in and help you just get that stuff outta there. I can provide a driving force without judgment or pressure. We’ll base decisions on what’s important to you.

  • One of my very first clients wrote to me and said, “I hate my kitchen! Help!” If you’ve got that feeling, it’s a great time to bring me in. Opening a cabinet or closet does not need to be a stressful or aggravating experience.

  • This is one of my favorite types of projects. Maybe you’ve got a vague sense that your space isn’t working for you, but you’re not sure why. Maybe you’re frustrated with how many functions your space needs to serve in your life. Maybe you’re going through a transition that is asking something more or different from your space. Maybe you’re just ready for a new flow. We’ll talk about how things work currently – how you use the space and how you feel about it – and then we’ll talk about how things would work in your ideal world. These projects can include some trial and error, like moving furniture back and forth, trying different ideas, etc. But they can be transformative – and super fun.

  • Moving is a huge stressor. Let me help you with the packing part! Packing with a system in place will help make unpacking less overwhelming. In terms of unpacking, there is a wide range of help I can offer, depending on what type of support you’re looking for. It could be as simple as having me come unpack and set up your kitchen while you focus on other priorities, or as involved as booking a series of sessions over a longer period to figure out how to set up your entire house.

  • If only I could teleport, I would be organizing spaces, in person, coast to coast. That said, it is actually possible — and enjoyable — to do this work remotely! We would meet virtually to talk about your space and figure out what level of support you’re looking for. Ultimately, I would devise a bespoke DIY plan for you to tackle and potentially provide in-the-moment guidance. Like in-person sessions, these projects are totally tailored to you, your situation, and your space.

  • Some examples: I come back in and whip that pantry back into shape, help reimagine the space for summer, or tackle some more granular organization we didn’t prioritize last time. We can even schedule periodic sessions (e.g. quarterly refreshes), which can provide a sense of commitment and “taking stock” that feels really good.

pricing

I currently charge by the hour: one rate for the time I spend physically in your space, and another, lower rate for time I spend on shopping and administrative tasks. (Note: this might vary slightly for remote/virtual projects.)

I also offer packages that include multiple sessions and shopping/admin time.

Any purchases (like new furniture, bins, etc.) are separate; I’ve found it’s very helpful if you have an idea of what (if anything) your purchasing budget is ahead of time, so we can plan around that.
